Many of us get confused when we have to connect two subjects in a sentence by ‘or’, ‘either/or’ or ‘neither/nor’. Instinctively, we want to use the Plural form of a verb, but this is a mistake. Don't trust your instincts or native language behaviour.
It is a very simple rule to remember:
use a single verb form after ‘or’, ‘either/or’ or ‘neither/nor’.
For example 👇
Chris or John is working today.
Either my brother or my sister is at home.
Neither apple nor orange is good. I would like a banana.
